Donated Goods Guidelines

Thank you for contacting us about donating items to the Mission. We will be in contact shortly with you. Below are a few guidelines to look over and items we don’t accept.

Guidelines:
1. No items that have any rips, stains, tears or damages (smoke, water, pet, etc.).
2. No items exposed to moisture mold, mildew, or bugs.
3. Items cannot be picked up from upstairs (must be on ground level or in an outside accessible garage or basement or bottom floor of split level homes).
4. All storage unit items must be moved by the donor to get to the items you want to donate as our truck crews cannot move other items to access the donated items.
5. All small or loose items & clothing must be in bags or boxes.
6. Pickup times cannot be guaranteed. Pickups are between 9:00am and 3:30pm and the truck drivers will call when on the way..
7. All donated items must be easily accessible with a clear walkway.
8. All pickups are up to the drivers’ discretion, based on items that we do not accept or other guidelines stated above.

Items We Do Not Pick Up: 
  • Alcoholic beverages or items related to alcohol (beer/liquor logo clocks, clothing, mugs, pictures, etc).

  • Appliances that are stored outside the home. (We don’t accept dishwashers)

  • Automotive hazardous waste such as tires, lead acid batteries, additives, gasoline, oils, antifreeze, etc.

    Baby Items: Cribs, car seats, walkers, playpens.

  • BED GUIDELINES:

    • No adjustable beds.

    • No hospital beds.

    • No mattresses/box springs that have rips, stains, tears, holes, bed bugs, etc.

    • No headboards without footboards; no footboards without headboards

  • Building Materials such as doors, windows, cabinets, screens, sinks, etc.

  • Chemical products such as pesticides, paint, paint thinner, drain cleaner, oven cleaner, aerosols, etc.

  • Clothing that is wet or moldy (clothes must be in bags or boxes)

  • Desks: Computer or Office

  • Exercise Equipment (e.g. treadmill, exercise bike, weight lifting gym).

  • FURNITURE GUIDELINES:

    • No oversized armoires/entertainment centers (size up to truck drivers’ discretion).

    • No entertainment centers designed for tube TVs.

    • No pressed board furniture.

    • No wooden furniture that is cracked, chunks missing, overly scratched, etc.

    • No upholstered furniture with rips, stains, tears, holes, etc.

    • No tables without matching chairs; no chairs without matching tables

  • Glucose testers or similar devices.

  • Lawnmowers and other gasoline powered equipment.

  • Mirrors that are unframed.

  • Pianos/Organs (does not include portable electronic keyboards).

  • Plumbing fixtures.

  • Pornographic material.

  • Potty chairs (adult & children’s).

  • Printers / Copiers.

  • Recyclables such as glass, newsprint, office paper, cardboard, plastics, magazines, junk mail, etc.

  • Refrigerators / Freezers that are non-working or moldy.

  • TV’s that do not work properly.

    • Must be less than 7 years old and flat screen.

    • No CRT and DLP TV’s, or rear-projection flat screen HDTVs.

  • Weapons such as guns, bows and arrows, ammunition, hunting knives, etc.
