Alpha Acres will hold its 21st Anniversary Banquet on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the Yadkinville Agricultural Center at 6:30 pm. Doors will open at 5:45 p.m. The Keynote speaker will be Luke Money, Pastor at Pleasant View Baptist Church Of Eden, North Carolina.

We are currently seeking captains to sponsor tables for the banquet. Each table will have 8 seats. Captains will commit to providing a lead gift and they will recruit individuals to help raise the remaining amount for the table. Luke Money, head pastor at Pleasant View Baptist Church in Eden, North Carolina will be our keynote speaker. Rev. Money was saved at the age of 23 after struggles with addiction, God not only saved his soul but God called him to serve. After completing Bible College, Luke was the manager of the Alpha Acres facility for five years. During that time God was preparing Luke to Pastor. He now shares the Good-News (Gospel) with the people of Eden, North Carolina and around the world!

The Winston-Salem Rescue Mission will hold its 51st Anniversary Banquet on November 1, 2018 at the Benton Convention in Downtown Winston-Salem at 6:30 pm. Doors will open at 5:45 p.m. The Keynote speaker will be Rev. Jonathan Falwell from Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Virginia.

We are currently seeking captains to sponsor tables for the banquet. Each table will have 10 seats. Captains will commit to providing a lead gift and they will recruit individuals to help raise the remaining amount for the table. Rev. Jonathan Falwell has been the senior pastor at Thomas Road Baptist Church since 2007. He has been in full time ministry for 24 years and was called to be senior pastor after his father, Rev. Jerry Falwell, passed away. Jonathan is married to Shari and they have four children. Rev. Falwell earned his Bachelors of Science from Liberty University in 1987 and his Masters of Arts in Religion from the Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in 1996. He earned a law degree in 2005 from William Howard Taft University. Rev. Falwell also serves as Executive Vice President of Spiritual Affairs at Liberty University, the world’s largest evangelical Christian university, also located in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Mission 5K: 5K Run, 5K Walk,
1 Mile Fun Run

The Mission 5K is coming up on November 3 at 8 a.m. The race starts and ends at the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission at 718 Trade Street.

This Christ-centered race is a fundraiser for the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission and Mission: Feet First. Mission: Feet First is a 501(c)(3) started in 2010 by Emily and Keith Davis, owners of Fleet Feet Sports and New Balance Winston-Salem, to provide shoes to the homeless community, children and adults in need.

All residents of the Rescue Mission participate, along with churches, businesses and volunteers who help make this race a success. Local Christian radio station, WBFJ, will be there to share music.
