The WS Rescue Mission provides free, high-quality substance abuse recovery programs to members of our community who otherwise would not be able to afford such services.
Our doors are open to those in need when they need it most. The first step on the road to recovery is admitting you have a problem, that your life is out of control, and that you are powerless over your addiction.
In the first days, a case manager works with each person to map their path for recovery. Those accepted into our programs must be willing to participate in:
- Recovery classes
- Bible studies
- Life skills classes
- Job training
- Discipleship
- Group counseling
- GED/Education opportunities
- Anger management
As of July 1, 2025, all new residents entering the Winston‑Salem Rescue Mission’s Life Builders Recovery Program are enrolled in a 6‑month pilot program. The added time allows for deeper healing, stronger spiritual foundations, and lasting transformation. We look forward to learning from this pilot and seeing how it can shape the future of our recovery ministry.
