Did you know by donating your vehicle to the Rescue Mission you can help change lives right now?

We make it fast and easy to donate a vehicle and you may qualify for a tax deduction.

  • If your vehicle RUNS:
    • Contact Dane Smith at America’s Auto Mart at 336-785-1205.
    • America’s Auto Mart will transfer your vehicle and contact us of the vehicle donation.
    • The WSRM will ask America’s Auto Mart to sell the vehicle if we are not currently in need of a vehicle. All proceeds go to support the Rescue Mission’s programs.
    • Dane Smith will supply you with your donation receipt.
  • If your vehicle does NOT run:
    • Contact Foss Recycling (U-PULL-IT) at 336-788-9122.
    • They will transfer your vehicle and contact us of the vehicle donation.

Can I claim a tax deduction on my car donation to the Rescue Mission?

Yes. The Winston-Salem Rescue Mission is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Contributions, including vehicle donations, may be claimed as deductions on your federal tax return, if you itemize.

How much can I deduct?

Once your vehicle is sold, the selling price determines the amount of your donation.
